THE LATE ’80S IN LOS ANGELES WAS  PRETTY INCREDIBLE!!! THATS ALL I GOT TO SAY!!!!!!

Since the early 1980s, soulful shred sensei Lynch — AKA "Mr. Scary" — has challenged the boundaries of his abilities, constantly evolved with the times and kept his playing fresh.

I'm a total 80's Metal Head....and there's a long list of guitarists to pick from but, my all-time favorite has to be George Lynch. There hasn't been a guitarist I have heard that moves  like Fart man. Yep, my nickname for him....lol. It's the the look on his face when he closes his eyes and jams away.  While many guitar heroes from the ’80s metal scene have faded away, George Lynch is as vibrant as ever. Not only did he capture arena-rock success through the ’80s and ’90s with five huge albums, he continued the quest throughout the ’90s into the new millennium with Lynch Mob............. George’s stunning slides, vibrato, and extra long finger stretches coupled with his blistering leads and his legendary soulful guitar voice helped him rise to the top of the guitar hero’s chart and stayed there.

His way.....Fat and harmonically juicy tone, phrasing, solos, melodies.......he just nails EVERYTHING.

He's is the reason I picked up a guitar in 1984. I don’t know if it was the very cool two-tone hair, the monster pentatonic licks, riffs and shredding solos or his artistic arsenal of snazzy-looking guitars. This is one truly great guitarist I had the privilege to see him live and in his ESP guitar clinics a hand full of times. Throughout the period since then I eat, breathe and  sleep everything LYNCH. You can say I am a big Lynchalcoholic.  He gave me the passion, dedication, and admiration to start playing guitar.  I gave up guitar and moved on to Bass, because more are needed. George's unique melodic style and technical mastery have influenced countless of fans for decades.

George Lynch and ESP Guitars — One of ESP’s first signature artists, George Lynch has been tearing up ESP fingerboards since the Eighties. With an uncontrollable style all his own, George has no boundaries when it comes to his playing. His guitars were built with the same attitude, and ESP is proud to offer several different Lynch models that will help you take your own playing to the next level and def one of the most prominent ESP players. The early Dokken and Lynch Mob records have some of my favorite solos of all-time on them.

George’s sense of melody and phrasing still blow me away to this day. When Lynch plays guitar, he spares no energy and gives all of himself to the audience; constantly moving, never stationary. It doesn't much matter what guitar Lynch plays, he always sounds good. Lynch also makes his own guitars for customers and fans, Mr. Scary Guitars. For between $3,800 and $9,000, Lynch's customer gets a phone consultation with Lynch personally and a fully custom guitar built especially to their personal specifications.

ABOUT GEORGE LYNCH

There is another side to George Lynch.  He is a philosopher, a peacemaker and a solider for the earth and the fair treatment of humanity—all of humanity. George Lynch is a passionate Native American who very much feels the important issues in his bones. You can tell by how strongly he speaks about his brothers that this is no hobby or passing concern to him ... it is his life; his family. George Lynch was born on September 28, 1954 in Spokane, WA. and raised in northern California. He began learning to play guitar at the age of 10 and throughout his teenage years, performed in several bands out of the Sacramento, Ca. area. Most notable from this era of his formative career was the band Sergeant Rocks. From here, he set his sights on Los Angeles where he would be involved in The Boyz and Xciter in the late 1970s.

Lynch will always be re-evolving as a musician. One factor that keeps him evolving is his constant quest for the ultimate guitar tone. Many musical instrument manufactures consult with George creatively to produce equipment helpful to himself and other musicians. Many products now bear his name.

With a clearer vision of his music, Lynch always stays busy creatively. The career move from doing things the corporate way shifted to doing things his way...internally incorporated, maintaining creative control of his music and the business of his music. Lynch always broadens his musical scope with new self- produced music.

George Lynch is NOT just a guitar god from the 1980’s.  He is much, much more than that if you are a  LYNCH-FANATIC!

This approach will be sure to capture and continue to influence fans for years to come.

Sincerely,

Cory & Tracy
